- What it is
A minoxidil foam medicine. The patient leaflet says it treats common hereditary hair loss in men aged 18–49 by preventing further hair loss and helping hair regrow. It works best for thinning at the top of the scalp.

- How to use
Men aged 18–49 only. On a completely dry scalp and hair, apply 1 g (half a capful) of foam to the affected area twice a day, at least 12 hours apart, and massage in lightly. Do not exceed 2 g a day. Wash your hands before and after. It may take at least 8 weeks of twice-daily use before new growth shows; continue twice daily to maintain it. Stop if there is no improvement after 16 weeks.
- Cautions
Not for women or anyone under 18 or over 49. Do not use with unexplained or sudden hair loss, total baldness, high blood pressure, a shaved scalp, or scalp conditions such as sunburn or psoriasis. Do not use alongside scalp creams or lotions such as dithranol, tretinoin, corticosteroids or petrolatum. Talk to a doctor or pharmacist first if you have heart disease or take vasodilator blood-pressure medicines. Apply only to the scalp and avoid the eyes, mouth and broken skin. Stop and see a doctor if you get chest pain, a fast heartbeat, faintness, dizziness, swollen hands or feet, or persistent scalp redness or irritation. It may cause temporary extra shedding in the first 2–6 weeks, dizziness and unwanted hair growth elsewhere. Keep children away from treated areas. Extremely flammable aerosol: keep away from flames and heat.
